Mona Moshiri
My name is Mona Moshiri, I was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. My parents worked hard to move to Canada from Iran, to pursue their academic ambitions. I graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology – Athletic Therapy, and registered with the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association (CATA). I specialize in injury assessment, prevention, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries. The ultimate goals of my sessions are to help patients return to their usual activity, whether that means running a marathon or going for a walk in the morning to the mailbox.
More about me
I enjoy spending time with my two beautiful nieces, traveling, rollerblading, surfing and generally, staying active by any means.
Some common injuries that I encounter and treat in the clinic include, various tendinitis, tendinosis and tenosynovitis, overuse injuries, sacroiliac dysfunction (pelvic rotations), TMJ dysfunction, low back pain, ligament sprains, muscle strains, and various post-surgical related injuries.
I chose this field as I have a passion for living an active lifestyle. Growing up, I was actively involved in soccer, track and field, the gym, hot yoga, and rollerblading. I place emphasis on prevention as an athletic therapist because many individuals wait until they have a problem to seek therapy. Being active has countless health benefits on your daily life and I enjoy sharing my knowledge on how to live a healthier lifestyle and developing sustainable & enjoyable habits.
