What can cause Carpal Tunnel?
Carpal tunnel syndrome can be a result of different factors such as, stress on the median nerve and tendons and this occurs from tasks as simple as, eating, writing, typing or any activity that uses your hands.
What are common signs?
- Weakness when gripping objects
- Numbness or pain in one or both hands
- “Pins and needles” feeling
What type of exercise can help Carpal Tunnel pain?
Wrist rotations:
- Rotate your wrist moving only your hands up, down, left and right
Finger stretch:
- Stretch fingers wide and then relax, repeat up to four times
Thumb stretch:
- Using opposite hand, push thumb backwards until you feel a gentle stretch
