What can cause whiplash?
Whiplash is term we use when a person’s head is jolted forward or backward in rapid session and the muscles in the neck are stretched to absorb the pressure. This abnormal motion and force makes it difficult and/or painful to move the head.
What are common signs?
- Dizziness
- Feeling of movement when in rest and not moving
What type of exercise help whiplash?
Flexion:
- Start in a standing or sitting upright position
- Insure ear aligned with shoulders
- Take a deep breath and gently bring you chin towards your chest as you exhale
- Hold for 5 seconds and return to start position
Extension:
Bilateral rotation:
