What can cause Tennis Elbow?
This pain is caused by inflammation of the tendon, this tendon allows the wrist and arm to bend and many individuals gain this pain associated with tennis elbow with overuse of elbow in sports or other activities
What are common signs?
- Pain/swelling on the outer part of elbow
- Pain while lifting arm
- Pain while grasping/holding objects
- Night pain
- Pain on the upper forearm and/or traveling into the wrist
What type of exercise can help Tennis Elbow pain?
Forearm Flexor stretch:
- Start by sitting or standing with upright posture
- Raise shoulder/arm up approximately 90 degrees with the palm of your hand facing downwards
- Take you other hands and gently push downwards on your hand bending your wrist
- Hold for 20 seconds and repeat 3 times on each side
Forearm Extensor Stretch:
- Start by sitting or standing with upright posture
- Raise shoulder/arm up approximately 90 degrees with the palm of your hand facing upwards towards the ceiling
- Take you other hand and gently push down on your hand, bending you wrist
- Hold for 20 seconds and repeat 3 times on each side
