What Types Of Exercises Help Back Pain?

 

1. Childs Pose

Childs pose is a beginner yoga pose which helps stretch your thighs, hips and ankles.

How do you do Child's Pose?

Step 1

Kneel on the floor with your toes together and your knees hip-width apart. Rest your palms on top of your thighs.

Step 2

On an exhale, lower your torso between your knees. Extend your arms alongside your torso with your palms facing down. Relax your shoulders toward the ground. Rest in the pose for as long as needed.

2. Superman Exercise

  • Lie on your stomach with your arms (overhead) and legs fully extended while keeping your head relaxed and spine neutral by looking at the floor in front of you instead of up.
  • Contract your core muscles to stabilize your spine, while simultaneously raising both your legs and arms a few inches off the ground, keeping your head and neck neutral.
  • Hold at top for 3–5 seconds.
  • Gently lower yourself back to the starting position and repeat.
  • Set/reps for results: Three sets of 10–12 reps.
